Debra A. Levinthal, DPM
Debra A. Levinthal, D.P.M., is an accomplished healthcare executive, clinician, and strategic advisor whose career spans organizational leadership, healthcare delivery, academic medicine, and professional education. At Trifecta Health Partners, she contributes to the firm’s strategy and operational foundation and brings a disciplined approach to moving complex decisions from concept to execution. Her experience enables her to connect clinical priorities with organizational realities and build the structures, alignment, and accountability needed to achieve meaningful progress.
A collaborative and transparent leader, Debra is known for bringing clarity to complex situations, translating ambitious ideas into practical priorities, and creating shared direction among Boards, executives, staff, and external partners.
Debra currently serves as Executive Director of the Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association (IPMA), where she works closely with the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee to establish strategic direction and organizational priorities. During a period of significant financial and operational change, she led a realignment that strengthened performance, improved accountability, restored positive financial results, and created a lean, fully virtual operating model. Under her leadership, IPMA achieved renewed Accreditation with Commendation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and continues to serve as an American Board of Medical Specialties Portfolio Program Sponsor.
Previously, Debra held senior leadership positions with the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST), the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, and MCM Education. She has built divisions and programs, led teams of up to 21 professionals, overseen budgets of up to $7.5 million, developed education across live and digital formats, established strategic partnerships, and guided organizational change and growth. At CHEST, she established the organization’s first dedicated e-learning division and led a multidisciplinary team responsible for a broad portfolio of educational products and initiatives.
A board-certified podiatric physician, Debra brings an executive perspective further shaped by her experience as a clinician, academic leader, and business owner. At Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, she served as an associate professor and assistant chair and was elected by her peers to represent the faculty on the University Board. Earlier, she founded and operated a private podiatric medical practice, giving her firsthand experience with both patient care and the operational realities of running a healthcare business. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.
This combination of clinical, business, governance, and executive leadership enables Debra to clarify complex decisions, align diverse stakeholders, and translate strategy into practical action that strengthens organizational performance and improves the experience of patients and communities.
